MEET NANCY

I'm a lifelong Minnesotan. Stillwater is where I’ve made my home for over 30 years, and it’s the place where I chose to start a family. I couldn’t have asked for a better place to raise my two sons than the welcoming, forward-thinking, and naturally beautiful St. Croix Valley.

I grew up in the Battle Creek area of St. Paul. I come from a family that is first generation American, a military family, a 3M family.  I was the first in my family to graduate college and am grateful that I could work my way through school without a lot of debt.  I want the same for today’s students.

I'm ready to serve Minnesota because I have the knowledge and experience to bring real solutions to the problems that our district and the state are facing. I want to represent the voices and concerns of the neighbors and community I love.  As a mother, I want to make sure that my sons, and all children, see a future of opportunity and promise.

3M Professional and Small Business Owner

Earlier in my career, I worked at 3M for more than 20 years in a variety of positions that cultivated my leadership and management skills.

In 2003, I left 3M to start a small business of my own: a Marriage and Family Therapy practice where I’ve worked to improve the mental health of our community, something I’m extremely passionate about. I now have offices in both Stillwater and Richfield.

Community Advocate

I’ve been an advocate and helper for as long as I can remember.  Volunteering has been an important part of my life and that of my family.

Most recently, I have served as the president of St. Croix Valley Alliance NOW, a chapter of the National Organization for Women.
